De-link ARET from Luanar-Government
Her Excellency The State President of the Republic of Malawi Mrs. Joyce Banda says her Government will de-link the Agriculture Research and Extension Trust (ARET) from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources ( LUANAR).

TAMA attended this year’s “International Day against Child Labour” held on 12th June, 2013 at Boma Primary School in Nkhotakota under the theme, “No to Child Labour in Domestic Work”. The function was hosted by the Malawi Government through the Ministry of Labour.
TAMA made some financial and technical contribution towards the holding of the function as a symbol of its commitment towards mitigating the problems of Child Labour in all its forms.

As at 21st June, 2012, thirteen weeks of sales, 55 Million Kg of all tobacco types were sold at USD 2.12 per Kg, realizing USD 116.3 Million. Same period of sales last year recorded 47.7 Million Kg at an average price of USD 0.94 per Kg , and fetched around USD 45.11Million.
