1. 2013 TOBACCO MARKET UP DATE

The cumulative volume (As at 5th July) for all the tobacco types is 131 Million Kg, sold at an average price of USD2.37 per Kg; realizing USD 261,837,140. Last year the same period had recorded 77 Million Kg at an average price of USD 2.45 per Kg; fetching USD 130,577,367. The average price is 3% below that of last year as at the same time.

The market has sold 113.5 Million Kg of burley at USD 1.83 per Kg (last year was USD 2.04 per Kg). Flue cured has sold 15.6 Million Kg at USD 3.10 per Kg (USD 3.19 per Kg last year) and only 2.5 Million Kg of NDDF has crossed the floors at USD 2.17 per Kg (USD 2.13 per Kg last year).
